It’s great to see best sportsmen of India finally getting their due, at least on television. After boxer Vijender Singh and wrestler Sangram Singh became household names, now it’s Olympic best wrestler Sushil Kumar’s turn. He will become the judge on MTV Roadies X4 Tv Show.
Sushil Kumar to Be the Judge on MTV Roadies X4
Sushil Kumar is an Indian freestyle wrestler. Competing in the 66 kg weight division he won the 2010 world title, a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which made him the first Indian to win back to back individual Olympic medals.
His 2008 Olympic medal was second for India in wrestling, and the first since Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav’s bronze medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics. In July 2009, he received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna – India’s highest honour for sports persons.
Sushil Kumar 4th Judge On MTV Roadies X4
On 3 October 2010, Kumar handed the Queen’s Baton to Prince Charles in the Queen’s Baton Relay for the 2010 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony. Sushil won the gold medal in the 74 kg division at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
It’s been reported that Sushil kumar will now venture into the television space as one of the gang leaders on the upcoming season of the longest-running reality show, Renault MTV Roadies.
Commenting on judging Renault Duster MTV Roadies X4, Sushil Kumar told TellyChakkar,
“TV for me is but a medium of communication and this is a good platform to engage with the youth, share my views and experiences with them. I follow strict discipline in my sport and I would expect the same on the show.”
Speaking about being aggressive on the show, he added, “One can be aggressive and gentle at the same time. Use aggression to win tasks.”
