Surendranagar is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Gujarat for traditional festivals. The city is also known as Zalawad in the region. It is one of the smallest districts in the state. Surendranagar is the headquarter of the district. It is well connected with major cities of India through railway line, national highway and state highway. How to Reach Surendranagar by Bus, Train, Car, Air and Road
1. Train
Surendranagar is well connected with major cities of India through Indian Railways. Most of trains stops here. There are three railway stations in the city, 1. Surendranagar Railway Station (main junction) 2. Joravarnagar Railway Station and 3. Surendranagar Gate Station. Surendranagar Railway Station is the main junction for the most of trains. Other two railway stations are old one and only a few trains stops there.

2. Bus
Surendranagar is also well connected through road transportation. Gujarat State Road Transportation Corporation (GSRTC) is the main source of road transportation which is operated by the state government. You can reach here from major cities of the state such as Rajkot, Morbi, Ahmedabad, Baroda (Vadodara), Bhavnagar, Wankaner and others.
3. Air
The city didn’t have any airport. Rajkot Airport and Ahmedabad Airport are the nearest International and domestic airports. Rajkot Airport is 107 km far away and Ahmedabad Airport is 127 km far way from the Surendranagar. The city is well connected to Rajkot and Ahmedabad through the national highway.

4. By Car
Hiring a car is also an option to reach Surendranagar. State Highway and National Highway roads conditions are good and easy to reach to the city. It is one of the busiest national highways in the country. Please follow safety guidelines when using national highway for the first time.
