    Steps to Find an Aadhaar Card Enrolment Center near You

    The government had been stressing the importance of having Aadhaar card and made it as a mandatory proof for many jobs, services and subsidies. As per the current situation, you can’t avail most of the services without a valid Aadhaar card.

    If you have not applied for your Aadhaar card yet, it’s the time to get it! You can apply it both offline and online. To enroll offline, you need to visit the nearest center and submit the Aadhaar registration form along with biometric details such as Iris and thumbprints.

    Steps to Find an Aadhaar Card Enrolment Center near You

    Wondering how to find the enrolment center nearby your locality? To locate the nearest Aadhaar card enrolment center, follow the below given step-by-step guide:

    Visit the UIDAI website

    Navigate to the section “Aadhaar Online Services” and click on “Locate Enrolment Center”. This will direct you to the new page and the page would help you finding the enrolment center near you.

    The next step is to enter the state, district, pin code and enter the locality name in which you are looking for the enrolment center and click on the search button

    This will display the list of enrolment centers near you along with the details of the contact person, contact number of the center, enrolment start date, and closing date of the enrolment center. You can also schedule your convenient data and time as pre-booking.

    Now you’re ready with the list of enrolment centers available near your locality. So why wait? Visit the enrolment center and enroll your Aadhaar center.

    If you do not find your state or union territory listed in the drop menu while finding an enrolment center, the reason is some states/Union Territory in India fall under NPR registration and the states under NPA registration include:

    • Assam
    • Dadra and Nagar Haveli
    • Manipur
    • Jammu & Kashmir
    • Mizoram
    • Lakshadweep
    • Meghalaya
    • Orissa
    • Arunachal Pradesh
    • West Bengal
    • Tamil Nadu
    • Nagaland

    If you stay in any of the below given states, then you need to visit the Census website of the Indian Government to locate the permanent Enrolment Center that’s near to you.

    • Once you find your enrolment center, visit the center with the necessary documents to enroll your Aadhaar card
    • Fill forms, give biometric information like finger prints and IRIS scan and get your photo clicked
    • After enrolling you’ll be provided with the enrolment number and the acknowledge slip
    • This will ensure you have successfully applied your Aadhaar card

    You need to find the nearest enrolment center which is reachable via public or private transport as per your convenience. Even, if you have to travel a long for Aadhaar card enrollment center, I assure that it will be well worth it. Because havingan unique Identification from your country makes you feel proud and it’s a sign that you’re the proud citizen of your country.

    Important Things to Consider While Visiting the Enrolment Center

    Don’t forget to carry all needed documents such as residential address proof, Voter ID, DOB certificate and driving license (optional). By keeping all these documents handy, will help you avoid unnecessary delays or problems in the process of enrolment.

    The officers at the registration center you visit will take a snap of your photo, and take an account of biometric information such as iris scan and fingerprints that will be stored in the Aadhaar database.

    This unique data will help you get identified in the future. All the details provided from your side and collected from their end will be cross checked to ensure accuracy. Once the processing time gets over your Aadhaar Card will be sent to you by postal mail within 2-3 months.

    If you didn’t receive your Aadhaar card within 3 months of applying, you can file a complaint against the related issue with the UIDAI.
