  3. Example correction note

We work hard to get things right, but mistakes happen. When they do, we fix them openly.

How to report an error

Use our contact page. Please include the article link, what you think is wrong and, if possible, a source that shows the correct information. We read every report.

What we do

  • We check the report against reliable sources, usually within a few working days.
  • Factual errors such as a wrong date, figure, name or instruction are corrected in the article. We add a short note at the end of the article saying what was changed and when.
  • Minor fixes such as spelling, grammar or broken links are made without a note, as long as they don’t change the meaning.
  • If an article is outdated rather than wrong, we update it and show an “Updated” date.
  • If an article can’t be fixed, for example because its central claim turned out to be wrong, we update it to say so rather than quietly deleting it.

Example correction note

Correction, [date]: An earlier version of this article gave the wrong fee for this application. It has been updated with the current fee from the official website.
