What is MP Bhulekh?
MP Bhulekh is the Madhya Pradesh government’s online land records system. Land records here include the khasra (the field-wise record of each survey number, with area, land type, irrigation and crop details), the B-1 or khatauni (the owner-wise account of holdings) and the village map (bhu-naksha). Before digitisation, people had to apply at the tehsil office for these records.
Madhya Pradesh has been a leader in this work. The National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) ranked it first among states in its Land Records and Services Index (N-LRSI) 2020, which measured how far land records, maps and registration were online and how reliable they were.
The portal has moved to WebGIS 2.0
This article originally described the older mpbhulekh.gov.in website. In October 2026, the active portal was WebGIS 2.0 at webgis2.mpbhulekh.gov.in, and the old address did not load when we tested it. If you have saved an old link, switch to the new address. As the name suggests, WebGIS 2.0 is built around a digital map (GIS), so a plot’s record and its map are available in the same system.
The site ends your session if you use the browser’s Back, Forward or Refresh buttons, or stay inactive for a long time. If this happens, open the portal again from the home page.
How to check MP land records (khasra and B-1)
- Go to webgis2.mpbhulekh.gov.in.
- Choose the land record search.
- Select the district (zila), tehsil and village.
- Search by khasra number or ULPIN, the unique 14-character ID given to each land parcel under the central government’s land records programme. The earlier portal also allowed a search by the landowner’s unique ID.
- Open View Khasra to see the record, and the map view to see the plot.
Viewing a record is for information. Banks, courts and registration offices usually ask for a certified copy.
How to get a certified (digitally signed) copy
- Log in to WebGIS 2.0. First-time users register as a public user with their mobile number.
- Find the khasra or B-1 you need and add it to a Certified Copy application.
- Pay the fee shown online (UPI, debit or credit card, or net banking).
- Download the digitally signed copy once the payment succeeds.
We could not find an official fee schedule for certified copies, so check the amount on the payment screen before you pay. Public service centres may also help with copies; they can add their own service charges.

How to file a grievance about a land record
- Open the grievance option on the portal.
- Enter your name, mobile number, the district, tehsil, village and khasra number, and describe the issue.
- Upload supporting documents and verify your mobile number to register the complaint.
- Track it using the grievance ticket number.
