Pet grooming software is built for the business owner and staff, not for pet parents, and its job is to take that admin off your hands so you can spend more time with the dogs and cats.
We first published this list in 2020. In October 2026 we checked every product on its vendor’s own website. This version describes each tool from the vendor’s current documentation, removes old prices, and explains what happened to the products we dropped. We have not tested these products, and nothing here is a paid placement.
How to choose pet grooming software
- Salon, mobile or multi-service? Mobile groomers need route planning and a good phone app. Salons need a clear daily calendar and station view. If you also board or run daycare, choose a system that handles kennels and capacity too.
- Online booking and reminders. Self-service booking with deposits and automatic text or email reminders is the main way these tools cut no-shows.
- Pet records. Look for breed, temperament and grooming notes, photos and vaccination tracking, which matter for both safety and repeat customers.
- Payments in your country. Many of these products are built for the US, UK or Australia, and their integrated card payments may not work in India. Check which payment processors and currencies are supported, and whether SMS reminders can be sent to your country.
- Pricing. Most charge a monthly subscription, often with a free trial; some charge extra for text messages or additional staff. Read the vendor’s pricing page for current terms.

MoeGo
MoeGo is all-in-one software for pet businesses, with solutions for mobile grooming, grooming salons, boarding and daycare; retail, training and pet sitting are listed as coming soon. Its features include a smart scheduler, online booking with booking limits, recovery of abandoned online bookings, optimised routes for mobile groomers, payments and marketing tools, and it serves single operators up to franchises. MoeGo has apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Pawfinity
Pawfinity says it has been building pet service software in the USA since 2010. It covers grooming, kennel and other pet services, with online booking, two-way text and email notifications for reminders and invoices, a route assist tool for mobile appointments, point of sale and a marketing platform added in its 2024 release. Pawfinity says it places no limits on the number of clients, pets, appointments or inventory items.
DaySmart Pet (formerly 123Pet)
123Pet, which appeared in our original list, is now DaySmart Pet: the 123Pet software website redirects to DaySmart Pet’s page. DaySmart Pet covers scheduling, client communication, payments and business operations for groomers, kennels and other pet businesses, and has a mobile app. DaySmart says more than 5,000 groomers use it.
ShakeYourTail
ShakeYourTail is cloud-based scheduling and client management software for dog groomers. It sends appointment confirmations and reminders by text and email, stores client and pet documents, and runs in a browser on a PC, laptop, iPad, tablet or phone, which suits groomers on the move. Text messages are sold as monthly credits.
PawsAdmin
PawsAdmin serves grooming, boarding, daycare, retail, training, dog walking and swimming businesses. Its features include online booking and payments, text and email communication, tailored report cards for owners, marketing tools, point of sale, scheduling and reporting.
Easy Busy Pets
Easy Busy Pets is an all-in-one platform for dog trainers, groomers, walkers, pet sitters, daycares and boarding businesses. Alongside scheduling, two-way texting, reminders, client forms, memberships, inventory and a point-of-sale card terminal, it includes a website builder and automatic review requests, which matches the original article’s description of a website plus booking and reputation tools.

Kennel Connection
Kennel Connection is pet care facility software covering boarding, daycare, grooming, training, retail and pet sitting. It offers online booking, unlimited two-way text messaging, integrated payments and a choice of full cloud or hybrid setup. The original article’s figure of 5,000 installed copies could not be confirmed on Kennel Connection’s current site and has been removed.
PetExec
PetExec is cloud software for dog daycares, boarding facilities, groomers and trainers. It includes a self-service owner portal, a mobile app, unlimited texting, payment processing, onboarding help and data transfer from your old system. The original article highlighted its drag-and-drop calendar and appointment reminders.
ProPet
ProPet is software for boarding kennels, dog daycares, trainers and groomers, with a retail module. Its founders started it in 2014 and still own it, according to its site. Features include online bookings, text messaging, report cards, integrated payments, medication and vaccination management, a companion mobile app, email marketing, reports and accounting, and setup and data migration.
Products removed from the original list
- GroomPro POS: the groompro.com site no longer describes a pet grooming product, and the old GroomPro POS page now returns “page not found”.
- Savvy Pet Spa: the website returned a “service unavailable” error throughout our October 2026 check, so we could not confirm the product is still sold.
- MyAppointments: the current myappointments.app is booking software for wellness practitioners and does not mention pet grooming.
- PetBeing: the website refused connections in October 2026.
- PetSchedule.com: the domain is listed for sale.

Not necessarily. A paper diary or shared calendar can work for a handful of clients a day. Software starts to pay off when no-shows, reminder calls and record-keeping take up real time, or when you want customers to book online.

Look for a strong phone app and route planning. MoeGo and Pawfinity both list routing tools for mobile appointments, and ShakeYourTail runs in a browser on any device.
Can I use this software in India?
Most products on this list run in a web browser and can be used anywhere, but integrated card payments and text-message delivery may be limited to certain countries. Ask the vendor about Indian payment methods, rupee billing and SMS delivery before you subscribe.
