Quick answer: Speedify is still available in October 2026 from Connectify, Inc., a US company in Philadelphia. It is not a typical privacy VPN. Its main job is channel bonding: combining Wi-Fi, mobile data, Ethernet or satellite links into one encrypted connection that keeps working if one link drops. It suits people who stream, video-call or work on the move with patchy connections. It is a weaker choice if your main goal is privacy, because Speedify records connection times and data use.

Speedify - Fast, Secure, Reliable VPN

Speedify sends your traffic through its own servers with encryption, so it does some of what a VPN does. Its name comes from what makes it different: it can use all your internet connections at the same time. Think of the difference between driving on a single-lane road and a multi-lane highway. This review describes Speedify from its own website and privacy policy. We have not tested it ourselves.

How channel bonding works

Most devices use one internet connection at a time, even when several are available. Speedify lets a device use them together:

  • Bonding: traffic is split across Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, Ethernet, Starlink and other satellite links, then recombined on a Speedify server. Speedify says you get up to 95% of the combined throughput.
  • Automatic failover: if one connection drops, traffic moves to the others in milliseconds, so calls, uploads and streams continue.
  • Prioritising: you can set a connection, such as metered mobile data, to be used always, only as a backup, or never, and add data limits to it.
  • Streaming priority: Speedify says it prioritises traffic for livestreaming platforms and video-call apps such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp.
  • Pair & Share: two devices can pair up and share each other’s mobile connections.

The original article described three bonding modes: speed, redundant (for reliability) and streaming (a balance of both). Speedify still lets you choose how each connection is used, but check the current app for the exact mode names.

Speedify at a glance

  • Company: Connectify, Inc., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
  • Servers: Speedify’s store page says plans include premium servers in more than 50 locations worldwide. Dedicated and self-hosted servers are available as add-ons.
  • Encryption: Speedify says it uses AES-256 on every connection. The original article also listed ChaCha20 for older devices.
  • Platforms: Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, plus routers.
  • P2P: the original article said P2P was allowed and that the app could pick a torrent-friendly server. Check Speedify’s current terms.

An earlier version of this summary listed both “200 servers” and “1000+ servers” in “32 countries”, and a cost of “$50”. Those figures were inconsistent and out of date, so we have replaced them with Speedify’s current descriptions.

Privacy: what Speedify records

Speedify’s privacy policy is clear about what it collects when you connect:

  • your IP address and a device ID;
  • when each connection begins, how long it lasts and how much data is used.

It says it keeps no record of the websites you visit and does not retain the data you send or receive. That fits the original article’s note about “some session logging”. Speedify is based in the United States. If you want a VPN mainly for privacy, a provider with an audited no-logs policy is a better match. See our Proton VPN review for one example.

Pricing (as of October 2026)

As of October 2026, per Speedify’s store page (US dollars; prices shown in India may differ):

Plan Monthly Yearly 3 years
Individual (up to 5 devices) $14.99 a month $89.99 a year ($7.49 a month) $179.99 ($4.99 a month)
Families (5 user accounts, 5 devices each) $22.50 a month $135 a year ($11.25 a month) $270 ($7.50 a month)
Teams (per user) $14.99 per user a month $89.99 per user a year Not listed

Teams plans add central account management and command-line and API access. Speedify has also offered a free tier with a small monthly data allowance. Recent independent reviews put it at 2 GB a month, but the store page did not list a free plan when we checked, so check in the app. Check the current refund terms on Speedify’s site before paying, as we could not confirm them on the store page.

Is Speedify easy to use?

Speedify focuses on connection quality more than on a minimal design. The original article described its main screen as busier than many VPN apps, with all your Wi-Fi and mobile connections listed at the top and readouts for speed, connection quality and data usage. That is useful if you want to see what each link is doing, but there is more to learn than with a one-button VPN.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Combines several internet connections for speed and reliability.
  • Seamless failover when one connection drops.
  • Family plan covers five people.
  • Dedicated and self-hosted server options for static IPs and port forwarding.

Cons

  • Records connection times, duration, data use and IP address.
  • US-based, with no published independent no-logs audit that we found.
  • Monthly price is high compared with long-term plans.
  • Busier interface than simpler VPN apps.

For split tunnelling and wider privacy features, compare StrongVPN or NordVPN, or browse our list of VPN software for Windows. VPN legality varies by country. In India, directions issued in April 2022 by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) require VPN providers to keep customer records for five years.

Frequently asked questions

Is Speedify a VPN?

Partly. It encrypts your traffic and sends it through its own servers, as a VPN does. Its main purpose is bonding several internet connections for speed and reliability rather than privacy.

Who makes Speedify?

Connectify, Inc., based in Philadelphia in the United States.

Does Speedify keep logs?

Its privacy policy says it records your IP address, device ID, connection start times, durations and data used. It says it does not record the websites you visit or keep the content of your traffic.

How many devices does a Speedify plan cover?

An Individual plan covers up to 5 devices. The Families plan covers 5 user accounts, each on up to 5 devices.

Is there a free version of Speedify?

Speedify has offered a free tier with a small monthly data cap, reported as 2 GB. Its store page listed only paid plans in October 2026, so check the app for current terms.

Checked in October 2026 against Speedify’s homepage, store page and privacy policy. We have not tested Speedify ourselves, so confirm current prices and features on Speedify’s website before you buy.
