Quick answer: StrongVPN is still sold in October 2026. It is run by Strong Technology, LLC, which its website describes as a Ziff Davis company, so it is a US-based service. A single plan gives you up to 12 simultaneous connections, 950+ servers in 30 countries, the WireGuard protocol and a smart DNS service called StrongDNS. Its no-logs promise is a company statement: we did not find a published independent audit of it.

StrongVPN Review

There are plenty of VPN providers to choose from, and StrongVPN is one of the older names. This review describes it from its own website and published reporting. We have not tested StrongVPN ourselves. An earlier version of this article made speed and Netflix claims, and said most of its Amazon reviews were one-star. None of those claims had a named source, so we have removed them.

StrongVPN at a glance

  • Owner: Strong Technology, LLC, “a Ziff Davis company”, according to StrongVPN’s site. Ziff Davis also owns IPVanish.
  • Address on the site: 114 5th Ave, New York. The original article gave Winter Park, Florida, as its headquarters; the site now shows a New York address.
  • History: StrongVPN’s site says it has served customers since 1995. The original article said its VPN service launched in 2005.
  • Network: 950+ servers in 30 countries and 59 cities, with 59,500 VPN IP addresses, according to its plans page. The original article quoted 950 servers in 20 to 25 countries.
  • Connections: up to 12 devices at once. This was a new increase when the original article was written, and it still applies.

Pricing (as of October 2026)

As of October 2026, per StrongVPN’s plans page (US dollars; prices shown in India may differ):

Plan Price shown Money-back guarantee
Annual $3.97 a month ($47.69 billed for the first year) 30 days
Monthly $11.99 a month Not offered (annual plan only)

The annual price is for the first year, so check the renewal price at checkout. Every plan includes StrongDNS and, according to StrongVPN, 3 GB of free global eSIM data. StrongVPN accepts major credit cards, PayPal and Alipay. There is no free plan.

Features StrongVPN documents today

  • Protocols: WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPSec and IKEv2. The original article explained IKEv2 (which reconnects quickly when your network changes) and IPSec (often paired with other protocols for security). Both are still offered, and WireGuard is now the main modern option.
  • Encryption: the original article named 256-bit AES, a widely used encryption standard. (It wrongly called it “antivirus”; AES is a cipher, not antivirus software.)
  • StrongDNS: a smart DNS proxy for streaming services that StrongVPN says supports 140+ services and works on devices that cannot run a VPN app.
  • Apps: iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and Amazon Fire TV, plus router set-up.
  • “Best Available Location”: an option that picks a server for you, plus light and dark app themes.
  • Kill switch and split tunnelling: the original article said StrongVPN had a kill switch and offered split tunnelling only in its Android app. Check the current apps for each platform.

Logging and jurisdiction

StrongVPN says it has a no-logs promise: it will “never track, store, or sell” your data. The original article noted that it collects only account set-up information, such as your name, billing address and payment details. When we checked in October 2026, we did not find a published independent audit of StrongVPN’s no-logs claims. Several competitors have had theirs reviewed by audit firms.

StrongVPN is a US company, and the United States is a member of the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing alliance. That does not by itself mean your data is at risk, because a provider that keeps no activity logs has little to hand over. It does mean the no-logs promise carries a lot of weight, and you are relying on the company’s word for it.

Streaming and torrenting

StrongVPN markets StrongDNS and its VPN for streaming. Streaming platforms block VPN and smart DNS services from time to time, and getting around a service’s regional licence can break its terms of use, so treat streaming access as “may work”. A VPN hides your IP address from other peers when you use torrents, but it does not make sharing copyrighted files legal.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Up to 12 simultaneous connections.
  • WireGuard plus older protocols for compatibility.
  • StrongDNS and an eSIM data allowance included.
  • Low first-year price on the annual plan.

Cons

  • US jurisdiction, with no published independent no-logs audit that we found.
  • Smaller country list than the largest providers.
  • Money-back guarantee applies to the annual plan only.
  • Owned by a large media group, which also owns a competing VPN.

The original article ended by recommending a different service. That remains a fair point if audits and jurisdiction matter most to you. For its sister brand, see our IPVanish review. For a channel-bonding alternative, see our Speedify review. VPN legality varies by country. In India, directions issued in April 2022 by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) require VPN providers to keep customer records for five years.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns StrongVPN?

Strong Technology, LLC, which StrongVPN’s website describes as a Ziff Davis company. Ziff Davis also owns IPVanish.

How many devices can I connect to StrongVPN?

Up to 12 at the same time, according to StrongVPN’s plans page in October 2026. You can cover more devices by setting up the VPN on a router.

Does StrongVPN have a money-back guarantee?

Yes, 30 days, but only on the annual plan, according to its plans page.

Has StrongVPN been independently audited?

We did not find a published independent audit of its no-logs policy in October 2026. Its no-logs promise is the company’s own statement.

Checked in October 2026 against StrongVPN’s homepage and plans page, and IPVanish’s site for the shared Ziff Davis ownership. We have not tested StrongVPN ourselves, so confirm current prices and features on its website before you buy.
