- Sabarmati Ashram
Memoirs of Mahatma Gandhi and the other freedom fighters as well. Peaceful atmosphere, it’s a treat to the soul to visit the ashram overlooking the grand Sabarmati River. Gandhi ashram is the moat peaceful place. In the centre of Ahmedabad. I used to go there alone and with my wide as well. See Sabarmati river and to feel the silence. Very good place to relax and to know history of Mahatma Gandhiji. - Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary
One of the best places for birdwatchers. Don’t run behind capturing images of all the birds, be selective and get the best shots of the uncommon birds. The different angles of sunlight according to the hour affect the pictures drastically, so don’t waste moments. - Polo Forest
Scenic waterway, moving through check dams and bridges fed by tiny streams joining a calm river. Polo forest has ruins of a city from 500 years ago. A mix of Jain and Hindu temples, with detailed carvings, line up on one side of the river. Take a walk along the route beginning from behind the temples to a beautiful spot with a narrow stream and a nice tree cover. You can also trek up to the nearby mango hill and end the trek at the bridge near the entrance to Polo forest.. don’t forget to take a dip in the river by the check dam near the temples. - Adalaj Stepwell
A small historical place near Ahmedabad which is an average place to visit. It’s a step well which is surrounded by Beautiful architecture. The well can be seen when you reach at the end. It’s smells foul as I believe the water remains stagnant. There is a well maintained garden surrounding the architecture. It is still in good state and well maintained by Gujarat government and the local Authorities. - Thol Bird Sanctuary
Best place to be at awesome place for a group of friends to visit. The environment is very good and there are really birds there coming up on that lake. And the photographer can get a lot out of that place its one of the best place for photography. November to February is a great time to visit. During this time, you are very likely to be able to observe flocks of beautiful migratory wetland birds like Greylag Geese, Bar-headed Geese, Common Cranes, Ruddy Shelducks etc. Just wish people didn’t throw garbage around in this sanctuary area. - Akshardham Temple Gandhinagar
Temple with best architecture, and stone carvings. Inside the temple with a calm and peaceful weather. The Sat Chit Anand water show is best. take a well time to praise a lord swaminarayan. The mobiles and electronics gadgets are not allowed. Which is the best part one can enjoy the beauty of temple and carvings. The temple is so wide spread but well maintain and clean, Must visit place in gandhinagar.. prefer to visit on weekdays but close on monday, to enjoy the calm and peace of temple.. Variety of food is available at food stall. The food is tasty as well with clean serving. Also there is a show on every short time of interval must watch ones.
