Quick answer: Water Kingdom is a large water park at Gorai, on the northern edge of Mumbai, reached by ferry from Gorai Creek near Borivali or by road via Mira-Bhayandar. As of October 2026, its official website lists park hours as 10 am to 6 pm, with tickets priced by height and children under 3 feet 3 inches entering free. The neighbouring EsselWorld amusement park has been closed since April 2022, so combined Water Kingdom and EsselWorld tickets are no longer sold.

Important change: EsselWorld is closed

An earlier version of this article described EsselWorld, the dry amusement park next door, as open and recommended combined Water Kingdom and EsselWorld tickets. EsselWorld has been closed since April 2022, and its website (esselworld.in) now redirects to Water Kingdom’s. The combo tickets and annual pass for both parks described earlier are no longer available.

Some smaller attractions in the same complex are still listed on Water Kingdom’s website, including EsselWorld Bird Park, Fish Paradise and Tic Tac Tot (which, as of October 2026, opens only for advance group bookings of at least 25 people). Check their own pages for current timings before you plan around them.

Tickets and prices

Water Kingdom prices tickets by height:

  • Adult: above 4 feet 6 inches
  • Child: between 3 feet 3 inches and 4 feet 6 inches
  • Free: children below 3 feet 3 inches

Prices change often and depend on the offer you book. In October 2026 the official website was advertising online “Splash Offer” tickets from about ₹1,180 for adults and ₹997 for children, against higher regular rates, along with group packs, meal-inclusive tickets and an annual pass. The website showed slightly different figures in different places, so check the final price on the booking page before you pay.

The ticket prices in the earlier version of this article (₹1,035 for adults, ₹660 for children, ₹1,405 combo) are out of date and have been removed.

What to do at Water Kingdom

The park’s rides are grouped into family, adult and kids’ rides. Attractions named on the official website include:

  • Wetlantic: the park’s large wave pool.
  • A lazy river for a slow float around part of the park.
  • Adventure Amazonia, an area of bigger rides.
  • Slides and rides such as What-A-Coaster, Aquadrenaline Vortex, Zoomroo Slide, Rafia Fafia and multi-lane slides.
  • The Lagoon and kids’ areas, water-play zones with smaller slides such as the Frog Slide.

Ride line-ups change from season to season, and rides close for maintenance. The park’s attractions pages list what is open. Height and health restrictions may apply on the bigger slides, so check the signs at each ride.

The park has restaurants and snack counters inside, as outside food is not allowed. Lockers are available for a fee, and swimwear can be hired or bought at the park’s merchandise outlet if you do not have nylon or Lycra clothing.

How to reach Water Kingdom

By train and ferry

  1. Take a Western line suburban train to Borivali and exit on the west side.
  2. Take a bus, auto-rickshaw or taxi about 5 km to Gorai Creek. The park’s website mentions BEST bus route 294 from Borivali station (West) to Gorai Creek.
  3. Board the ferry from Gorai Creek, which drops you at the park in about 15 to 20 minutes depending on the tide. According to the park, ferries run daily from 9 am to 8 pm.

By road

Drive north on the Western Express Highway, turn off towards Kashimira and continue along Mira-Bhayandar Road, following signs for the park; the park’s website puts this stretch at about 30 to 45 minutes from Kashimira. Paid parking is available. App cabs can also take you to the park by road.

Things to remember

  • Swimwear: Nylon or Lycra costumes are required in the water. Cotton and terry-cotton clothes are not allowed on water rides.
  • Children should be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Food: Outside food and alcohol are not allowed; infant food is the exception.
  • Valuables: Use a locker, or a waterproof pouch for your phone and cash.
  • Arrive early: Weekends, school holidays and the summer months are the busiest.
  • Swimming skills: According to the park, you do not need to know how to swim to visit, but follow lifeguards’ instructions on every ride.

Best time to visit

Water Kingdom is busiest on weekends and in the summer holidays (April to June). For shorter queues, go on a weekday. The cooler months from November to February are more comfortable for a long day outdoors. Check the website for any monsoon or maintenance closures.
