About Wonderla Hyderabad
Wonderla Hyderabad is run by Wonderla Holidays Ltd, which also operates parks in Kochi, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar and Chennai. The Hyderabad park opened in April 2016 and covers about 50 acres. Wonderla Hyderabad has won industry awards from the Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries (IAAPI).
An earlier version of this article said Wonderla had only “two other parks, in Bangalore and Kochi”, and that the Hyderabad park was expected to open in 2017. Both statements are out of date. It also claimed a “Certificate of Excellence 2015”, which we could not verify, so that has been removed.
Rides at Wonderla Hyderabad

Ride safety and health
Wonderla advises that visitors with heart disease, high blood pressure or epilepsy, pregnant women, and some visitors with disabilities should avoid fast rides. Each ride has its own height and weight limits, which are posted at the ride; check them before you queue. Children must be accompanied by adults at all times.
Dress code for water rides
According to Wonderla’s park rules, costumes for the water rides must be made of 100% nylon or polyester. Allowed clothing includes T-shirts, shorts, Bermudas, three-quarters and swimsuits. Sarees, churidars, salwar suits, formal trousers and shirts, burkhas, scarves and similar clothing are not allowed on water rides. If you do not have suitable clothing, the park’s stores sell approved costumes.
Food and other rules
- Outside food and drink: not allowed. All guests and bags go through security checks at the entrance.
- Loose items: jewellery, hair clips, spectacles, cameras and selfie sticks are not permitted on water rides and some attractions. Use the lockers.

How to reach Wonderla Hyderabad
